Calab Gabriel has been practicing as an Advocate and Patent Attorney in India for the past 45 years. He has prosecuted thousands of patent applications in all fields. He has been a Partner in a few leading IP firms in India including Remfry and Sagar, Lall Lahiri & Salhotra and Founder of the Patent team and Head of Patents in K&S Partners for more than 2 decades. Currently, he is the Founder of this firm ACCURES IP CARE (formerly known as LEX IP CARE LLP). Calab has been advising the Government of India on various issues relating to Intellectual Property and has extensive experience in all aspects of intellectual property laws with special emphasis on filing, prosecution and enforcement of patents, and designs. 

Calab is also involved in all major Patent Litigations in India and has also represented the Government of India in many International negotiations, such as PLT, FAQ, etc. He has spearheaded the Revocation of the Turmeric Patent in USPTO and re-examination of Basmati Patent in USPTO on behalf of Government of India. He has authored various articles on topics relating to patenting of pharmaceuticals, life sciences including Biotech inventions in India. He has made many presentations on various topics on Intellectual Property in India and abroad. He has handled the portfolio of several Software companies and Engineering companies for decades. He was represented clients namely Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, Novartis, Eli Lilly, BASF, Akzo Nobel, Saint Gobain, Air Bus, Qualcomm, Honda, Suzuki Motors, etc.

Calab was a member of the Parliamentary Committee that made the draft bill of amendments to the Indian Patents Act for submission before the Indian Parliament. Calab has also been a speaker at conferences such as ITech Law, WIPO, AIPPI, AIPLA, WIPF and GIPC. He is a member in Indo-US Summit.

 - Advices clients on IP strategies
 - Mentors and teaches IP professionals in institutions such as TIFAC, IIT, NLS, VIT, Christ University etc. 
 - Obtained the initial Patents in India for genes and micro-organisms;
 - Negotiated patent licensing transactions;
 - Won numerous patent oppositions for Indian and foreign clients
