Dr. Seemantani Sharma

Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (Malaysia)

Dr. Seemantani Sharma is the Legal Manager (Regulatory & Intellectual Property) of Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), a non-commercial association of broadcasters in Asia-Pacific. At ABU, she works on IP issues, media regulation, and sustainable innovation for the media and entertainment industry. She holds a PhD in IP law from the University of Technology Sydney where she was a commonwealth scholar and a Master of Laws in IP from the George Washington University. Apart from her full-time legal role, she is also the co-founder of a clean-tech platform (which is currently in its development, incubation, and non-commercialization phase). She has several publications to her credit in peer-reviewed journals and in popular media.
