Eric D. Kirsch, Group Practice Leader, Intellectual Property, Rimon, P.C.

Eric is a highly experienced IP lawyer, litigator and counselor who understands a variety of complex technologies and how to convey winning arguments to judges and juries. Eric’s technical specialties are video and audio encoding, digital imaging, automotive lighting, cloned human receptors and CRISPR.  Eric has successfully litigated many different patent infringement and trademark cases and won in the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  

In addition, Eric was Chief IP Counsel for Nikon for 10 years, where he managed many patent infringement assertions and lawsuits against Nikon. Eric also was the lead negotiator for many licensing negotiations for Nikon, developing successful strategies that saved Nikon millions of dollars.  Eric joined Rimon as a partner in Rimon’s Tokyo Office in 2023 and became Group Practice Leader of Rimon’s IP Department in 2025.

In addition, Eric was named one of the world’s top 300 IP Strategists by IAM in 2021-2024.
