Ilya is a globally recognised EP and UK patent attorney who has extensive Opposition and Appeal experience, as well as being qualified as a litigator in IPEC, the English High Court and the UPC. With a Masters from Cambridge University in Natural Sciences his practice covers a wide range of technology. He has a particular focus on AI both developing bespoke systems for the firm he founded and in getting patents for structural AI developments. As a senior partner in a more traditional firm for almost 3 decades and overseeing its growth from almost unknown to a major firm he appreciated a need for structural change. He founded IK-IP in 2020 with a novel collaborative structure of like-minded results-focussed genuine experts with serious credentials, supported by a state of the art infrastructure.
