Marc Steinmayer

Marc Steinmayer is a German lawyer specializing on trademark, patent and design law as well as related litigation. Since 2019 he has been working as an attorney, since 2021 at Hildebrandt in Berlin, where he became partner in 2025. 

He studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin and subsequently completed his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin. After his first studies in Germany, he pursued an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law at the Università degli Studi di Torino in Italy, graduating in 2019. Early in his career, Steinmayer worked as a research assistant in several international law firms, gaining experience in cross-border and commercial legal practice. His academic and practical training in both German and European IP law has provided a strong foundation for his work advising clients on national and international protection of inventions, trademarks and designs, as well as enforcing those rights through litigation and negotiations.

Since 2022, Marc Steinmayer has been recognized as a certified specialist in industrial property law. His expertise has also been acknowledged by various independent legal ranking, i.a., IP Stars, where he has been listed as a “Rising Star” since 2023 onward.
