Melita Rogelj is an independent consultant and founder and co-founder of consulting companies in Mozambique and Belgium, with international experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and inclusive energy transition across Africa, Asia, and Europe. Having lived and worked in Mozambique for more than five years, she brings a unique Europe–Africa perspective on technology transfer, bridging policy, markets, and community-level implementation. Melita has led and advised complex energy programs for organizations such as the EU, UNDP, GIZ, UNIDO, and national governments, supporting everything from regulatory reform and investment-ready project development to SME business models, PAYG and RBF financing, and productive use of energy solutions. Her work is distinguished by a strong focus on value-driven technology transfer, gender-responsive energy planning, and capacity building that translates innovation into real economic and social impact.
