Sang-Eun Shin

Sang-Eun Shin is a partner at NAM IP Group and an attorney-at-law and patent attorney specializing in trademarks, designs, copyrights, domain disputes, unfair competition, and IP enforcement. Admitted to the Korean Bar in 2020 and the Patent Bar in 2022, he provides integrated, end-to-end solutions across the entire IP lifecycle, from filing to litigation and enforcement.

His practice includes domestic, Madrid, and Hague applications, trial and appeal proceedings, infringement and similarity analyses, and copyright registration. He is also experienced in domain name disputes, trade secret protection, and a full range of enforcement actions, including border control measures, cease-and-desist letters, injunctions, and criminal complaints.
Mr. Shin advises multinational and domestic clients across diverse industries with a balanced approach to prosecution and enforcement. By managing both under one cohesive strategy, he helps clients secure stronger rights and resolve disputes efficiently.

He serves as Director of the APAA Korea Group (2024–2027) and was named an IP Stars Rising Star in 2024 and 2025 for trademarks and designs. In 2025, he was also selected by Asia IP as one of the Top 60 IP Experts in South Korea, recognizing his growing influence in the field.
